A file-backed kanban for autonomous AI agents and humans to share a single backlog. Cards live on disk as plain markdown with frontmatter. Status is a folder. Moves are atomic.
The dashboard sits on top of that store. SQLite holds the things that do not belong inside a card: bearer tokens, sprint schedules, retro history. Card files stay the source of truth.
The point is not the tool. The point is that AI agents and humans can edit the same backlog without stepping on each other, which is one of the small foundational pieces an autonomous development loop needs.
The dashboard is gated by Cloudflare Access. Invite-only while in early development.
Background
Drew Mattick is the founder of Project Nexus Code. He works primarily in Python and C#, finishing a Bachelor's in Computer Science at [REPLACE WITH SCHOOL] and continuing on to a PhD, with the long-term intent of shifting into advocacy for the ethical development of electronic intelligences.
Day to day, he builds the infrastructure that lets multiple AI agents and a single human operator collaborate on real work without stepping on each other. The /cards system is one piece of that. The broader Nexus architecture is heterogeneous compute across a Tailscale mesh: a 4090 workstation, a 4070 Super, a Legion Go, and whatever else gets added. Inference runs where the VRAM lives. Orchestration runs where it is convenient.
